Aalborg, awl'borg, (eel castle), a seaport of Denmark, in Jutland, on the south shore of the Lim-Fjord, connecting the Cattegat and the North Sea. The manufactures, consisting of brandy, spirits, lumber, leather and soap, and the fisheries are increasing rapidly. Aalborg has a museum, cathedral and a library of 30,000 books.
