Ain-tab, ine tahb', now known as Gaziantep, a town of southern Turkey, 60 mi. n. of Aleppo. It is well fortified and is an important military post. The manufactures are cottons, woolens and leather. There is here an American Protestant mission. Population in 1901, about 45,000.
