Aye-Aye, i-i, an animal of Madagascar, so called from its cry, belonging to the lemur family. It is about the size of a hare, has large, flat ears, a bushy tail, large eyes and long, sprawling fingers, the third so slender as to appear shriveled. In color it is musk-brown, mixed with black and gray ash. It feeds on grubs and fruits, and in its habits it is nocturnal.
