es'ka naw'ba, a city and the county-seat of Delta co., on Little Bay, 121 mi. n. of Green Bay, on the Chicago & Northwestern and other railroads. It has a good harbor and is one of the most important shipping points for the Lake Superior iron region. It was first settled in 1863 by employes of a railway company and became a city in 1883. Population in 1910, 13,194.
