go dahr', (1849-1895), a French musician, born in Paris. He entered the Paris conservatory and soon attracted attention by his compositions, especially for the violin. They do not display remarkable genius, but are graceful and melodious. He also wrote several operas, none of which achieved special success, besides many symphonies, concertos and songs.
