(1759-1797), an English writer, also well known by her maiden name of Wollstonecraft. She was married in 1797 to William Godwin, and their daughter was later Mrs. Shelley. Among her works are Thoughts on the Education of Daughters and Vindication of the Rights of Women, this latter her most notable publication.
