guj'on, a fresh-water fish, belonging to the carp family, common in rivers of England. Neither jaw is furnished with teeth, but at the entrance of the throat there are two triangular bones, which perform the office of grinders. These fish are taken in gentle streams and measure only about six inches in length. Many are captured in nets for the market.
