ra baht', a maritime town in Morocco, on the Atlantic, at the mouth of the Bu-Regreg. It is surrounded with a wall, flanked by numerous towers, and has a citadel and batteries. It has manufactures of carpets, woolens, cottons, pottery and leather and considerable trade in wool and corn. On the other side of the river mouth is the town of Sallee. Population, about 35,000.
