Tacon'ic Mountains, a range of mountains forming a part of the boundary between New York and Massachusetts and extending northward into Vermont, where they connect with the Green Mountains. The Taconic range is an eastern extension of the highlands of the Hudson. The mountains are low, with rounded tops, and their sides are generally covered with forests or cultivated fields.
