Wah'peton, N. D., the county-seat of Richland co., 46 mi. s. of Fargo, on the Red River of the North and on the Great Northern, the Northern Pacific and the Chicago, Milwaukee & Saint Paul railroads. The city has grain elevators, a flour mill, lumber yards and various mercantile establishments. There are seven churches, three banks, a college and waterworks, electric light and sewage systems. Population in 1905, 2741.
