Yaroslav, yahr' os lahf', a town in Russia, capital of the government of the same name, on the Volga, 162 mi. n. e. of Moscow. Among the chief manufactures are cotton, tobacco and white lead. The Demidoff Juridical Lyceum is its chief educational institution. Population, 70,610.
